I love fresh salmon, but using tinned/canned salmon is great to keep in your pantry for a quick lunch and an economical alternative to expensive fresh salmon.
I suppose I could just focus on quick and easy recipes. Those kinds of recipes is my favorite anyway as I don’t like to spend more time than needed in the kitchen.
That’s what’s so great about these low carb keto salmon patties. They can be prepared and cooked in about fifteen minutes. And they are a nice change from regular burgers.
I bet the patties could even be made ahead and kept in the freezer. That way, you’d just need to pull one or two out to fry in a pan for a quick meal.
I’m thinking the patties could also be frozen pre-cooked if you want to just pop them in the microwave. Either way, you may want to make a double or triple batch if freezing some for later.
Preparing meals in advance is something that I need to get better at. I just need to get my husband to give away some of his deer meat so I have the freezer space for it.
You’ll notice that I used nutritional yeast in the recipe. I’ve been using that as an alternative ingredient for cheese. Of course, if you aren’t following a dairy-free meal plan, feel free to use Parmesan cheese instead.
