It's the only precursor relic that requires you to focus on robots to be of any use, which is a bit disappointing if you didn't plan to research them, or cannot even use them. All of the other precursor relics are useful to any kind of civilization.

But I guess it compensates for the ringworld it gives you.

It is super good for any build going for megastructures. Delving into Cybrex secrets gives you Mega-Engineering option with 25% researched in it - way ahead of time you could have researched it normally.

Yeah, the passive effect of the psionic archive. but picking an effect of the shroud seems nice (haven't tested it yet)

the Javorian Pox Sample seems rather useless for any empire not interested in genocide

I think it's actualy pretty nice that relics support different playstyles. Not everything from race creation to endgame is set in stone. Finding a certain relic can nudge you in a different direction then you were originaly planing and that's good.
For example: I started within former cybrex space. I haven't finished the questline yet, but I'm going to see if I can use it to get galactic wonders as a second ascention perk. At least in the description there is no longer a "needs three other perks" requirement.

The Zroni is only useful if you want to be psionic. Personally, I don't mind them, not every relic has to, or needs to suit every general play style.
And the minor artifacts for it can be useful. Like another user said, you can eventually get partial progress on mega engineering, so it has its place.

The relic is not useful if you don’t build robots, but getting Cybrex means you can have Mega-Engineering in the 2260s and have a fully functional ringworld before 2300. That is pretty amazing. Maybe you should consider building robots even if you weren’t planning to previously - that ringworld is going to take some filling.

Because you get a ringworld and megaengineering this is the only precursor usefull for everyone.
Most precursor are total crap for almost all builds.

It's not useful if you don't want to build robots due to spiritualism, but you don't have to go for synthetic ascension nor be fanatic materialist to have a few robot factories.

The precursors have started forcing me to pick neutral ethics to begin with and change depending on which relic I get. I find the irassians and yuht to be completely useless. Vaultum marginally useless but acceptable especially as an amenity starved megacorp, Cybrex relic forces you to go synth ascension, and once you do is extreme, and I actually got this along with the defragmentor which is nuts after you synth ascend. 16+ build speed on robots. Zroni suck, and baol are also very good for allowing "early" habitation of planets nd such but probably not as good as cybrex.
All in all, cybrex is by far the most powerful. Vaultum/yuht/irassian could use a buff.

Found it and considered for a few seconds. Playing as a gestal... But the squishy ones I will pass by. But the ring world will be handy anyway. And you can only activate one at a time anyway so... To the collection!
